I survived!
The surgery went quickly, even more quickly than originally planned. The anesthesia wasn't as scary as I thought it would be, I felt like I had just closed my eyes for a few seconds.
My cheeks are swollen and it definitely hurts to chew, but I should be feeling better by the time I go back to work on Monday. I think it actually worked out better to reschedule the surgery, since I have an extra couple of days off this way.
I have already read a stack of magazines, finished The Other Boleyn Girl (great book!), started Blink (by the same author of The Tipping Point) and watched The Pursuit of Happyness. I also started the movie version of The Other Boleyn Girl but it seems to deviate a lot from the book so I'm having a hard time getting into it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Not in the plan...
When my dentist told me I would have to get my wisdom teeth removed, I went into planning mode. I set the surgery date several weeks out (Wed. Oct 8) and made the necessary arrangements to take off of work. I filled the DVR with movies and had a stack of magazines and a book at the ready. I made sure to go to the store and get plenty of soup and ice cream. Michael and my mom were both on alert in case I needed anything.
What did I not plan for? Waking up Tuesday morning with a stuffed up head, then waking up Wednesday morning running a fever. Of course, the surgeon's office said I could not go under as sick as I was.
Well, at least I will be comfortable and not have to worry about work while I am recovering!

Great weekend!
We went to a fabulous wedding this past weekend. Our friends Will and Courtney got married in Ft. Worth at the Beth El Congregation and had an amazing reception afterwards at the Modern Art Museum. You know it's a good party when 1) you get to drink champagne in the temple before the service and 2) the reception venue runs out of Blue Moon. No joke, I snagged the last two.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Landes!
Gorgeous flowers; the color scheme was purple.

See, we can clean up pretty nice!

Sadly, I didn't get many pictures of the bride and groom together. Here they are cutting the cake.

We can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind...

Mom *loved* the tiny milkshake bar.

I love this picture of Courtney, looking "smoking hot" in her Oscar gown!
