Mrs. Landrum passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in Jacksonville.

She was born June 4, 1937 in Quitman, TX. to Arthur Adkins King and Lila May Gilbreath King.

Mrs. Landrum was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville where she attended Seeker’s Sunday School and United Methodist Women, where she was a former president, directed Methodist children’s camps and worked with MYF. She and her husband were foster parents to more than ten children, hosted many foreign and exchange students in their home, and was one of the founding members of the Women’s Crisis Center in Jacksonville.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lila King and her sister Joy Hinton.

Survivors include husband Rev. Dr. Faulk Landrum of Jacksonville; daughter Beverly Landrum Sharpe and husband Michael of Dallas; sons David Arthur Landrum and wife Quigley of Portland, OR. and Daniel Faulk Landrum of Chappell Hill, TX.; brother Dr. Joe Mac King and wife Louise of Dallas; and 2 granddaughters Lila Rebecca Baker and husband Michael of Dallas and Mary Victoria Sharpe of Austin.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Jack Albright, Rev. Fred Lang, Rev. Jimmie Reese, Rev. Tom Holcomb, Rev. Don Post, Bob Buckingham, Jimmy Going and Casey Beach.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
